Effective service dog training in Dubai, UAE

Certified Service Dog Trainer

Service dog training goes way beyond basic commands. We focus on building trust and cooperation between you and your companion. Our goal is to train your dog to assist you in mitigating your disability and participating fully in daily life. With a tailored approach to meet your unique needs, we ensure that your service dog is well-prepared to provide the support and companionship you rely on.

What is a Service Dog?

A service dog, or assistance dog, is a highly trained and skilled canine partner that plays a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities.

Their training goes far beyond basic obedience commands, as they learn complex tasks that can range from guiding the visually impaired and alerting the hearing-impaired to sounds, to retrieving items, opening doors, providing stability for individuals with balance issues, or even alerting their handlers to an oncoming medical emergency.

What is the Difference Between a Service Dog, Therapy Dog and Emotional Support Animal?

A service dog in US (assistance dog in EU) is specially trained to assist individuals with disabilities by performing specific tasks. It has legal access to public places.

An emotional support animal (ESA) offers emotional comfort to individuals with mental health conditions and has limited legal rights.

Therapy dogs provide comfort in various settings but do not have public access rights.

Why Choose The Pawkeeper for your Service Dog Training Needs?

As a highly qualified service dog trainer, my credentials and expertise set me apart as an exceptional professional in the field. I am proud to hold a certification from the esteemed German Assistance Dog Center TARSQ, signifying my dedication to excellence in service dog training.

With a strong focus on enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities, I specialize in two crucial areas: psychiatric service dog training (ADHD, eating disorders, anxiety disorders) and diabetic alert dog training (note: only Type 1). These specialties allow me to address the specific needs of handlers dealing with psychiatric conditions and diabetes, providing them with invaluable support and assistance.

Important Information For Airlines

The Pawkeeper Dog Training accompanies a service (US) / assistance (EU) dog training exclusively in cooperation with The Pawkeeper Dog Training. Training for all service dogs is aligned with specifications and standards of the Final Rule, issued by the US Department of Transportation. The training of the service dog is based on the requirements of the European Union. Corresponding changes are monitored by The Pawkeeper Dog Training and are continuously incorporated into the service dog training programs.

The Pawkeeper Dog Training would like to support airlines in the sense of the implementation of the CRPD 2006/2008 (UN-Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Article 9 paragraph 1) as well as the provisions of the Certified Anxiety Assistance Dog Rules, Article 20 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

182 countries have declared themselves against discrimination and committed themselves to providing all specific marginalized groups with the respective conditions to ensure the best possible independent living. In its Article 9(1), the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities requires its signatory states to take appropriate measures to ensure for persons with disabilities, on an equal basis with others, access to the physical environment, to transportation, to information and communication, including information and communication technologies and systems, and to other facilities and services open to or provided for the public in urban and rural areas.

Invitation: Corresponding ideas and conditions of airlines can be coordinated with us. We see ourselves as partners of service providers and employees to find solutions!

We are open to expanding our learning and training concepts accordingly in order to enable all passengers to have the same travel conditions. If you would like to learn more about the curriculum please email on bark@thepawkeeper.com so we can share the process with you in detail.

How Does Service Dog Training Work?

Medical Recommendation/Clearance

Acquire a letter confirming your disabilities and the level of degree.

In addition to your condition, your dog’s treating vet must provide a clean bill of health for your dog to attest that your dog is fit to work.

Training & Temperament Assessment

Once qualified for a service dog, we’ll meet to discuss either picking the right dog for your needs, OR we’ll assess your current dog for service dog work.

The 90 minute consultation can be done virtually or in-person. Training & Temperament Assessment: 550 AED

Training Your Service Dog

Once we decide on training goals (advanced manners and task training), we meet for training sessions, virtually or in-person.

We share a training log which will be updated daily based on performance and training goals.

Note: Service dog training is one of the highest forms of obedience training and only ~5% of dogs make the final cut.

We may discontinue if your dog displays reactivity, fear or aggression, or health concerns at any point.

Final Examination

After successfully completing training which can last between two months and two years, we will meet for a final certification examination.

The exam is based on the international standards and requirements.

Only if you and your dog pass with a score of 90% you will be handed the sought-after certification attesting your dog is a qualified working animal and can accompany you, the handler.

Ready to train with The Pawkeeper?

The dogs had such a wonderful play. It’s the first time and I’ve honestly just been able to release that breath I hold every time they are near each other. Thank you for the guidance to get us to this first play.

Her responsiveness went from zero to reliable. We’re able to pass stray cats without a meltdown. You showed me a positive approach to training, it’s not a chore but a lifestyle now. I don’t have to use “NO” anymore because I have different ways now which has made my relationship with Skye so much better.

We can’t thank Jasmin enough for her shared knowledge, expertise and force free techniques. With Jasmines shared techniques and continued support, we are now able to redirect Teddy’s unwanted behaviors and encourage positives.Thank you Jasmin for understanding the stresses and difficulty of adopting a dog that has not had the best start in life and not judging the helplessness and despair that we were experiencing.

Thank you for bringing back my dog. Dog encounters, people encounters, perfect walkies, chilling at home, increased alone time. Oh the times of reactivity when I was at the end of my rope and desperate are hard to remember
